In 2019, Orange County, California Punk and Hardcore institution, IGNITE were a band at a crossroads. Over 25 years, IGNITE had taken their hardcore foundations and not merely turned them into the sound of a band that have refused to be categorized but had become a worldwide force in their own right. But with five albums behind them including 2006’s breakout, they found themselves without a singer.

While looking for a new vocalist, they penned their most expansive set of songs and reconciled themselves with their history. IGNITE’s following release, a self-titled album, is the band firing on all cylinders: melodic, political, poignant and, most importantly, driven.

Since forming in 2005, Versus You has cemented its status as a cornerstone of the Luxembourg punk rock scene. The four-piece band has spent nearly two decades releasing records, playing a massive number of shows, and touring across Europe, Russia, and the UK. Their influence was recognized by Le Quotidien in 2014, which declared the band "an institution" in the local music scene.

The band’s discography includes four full-length albums and a split album with White Flag. Versus You's sound draws inspiration from punk bands from Berkeley, Minneapolis, and Chicago, including Crimpshrine, Green Day, Jawbreaker, NOFX, The Replacements, and Hüsker Dü. They also incorporate songwriting influences from non-punk acts like Big Star, Tom Petty, and The Kinks. As for the name Versus You? It means absolutely nothing.
