CeCiL's Box by Henri Schoetter

Where? 2, Place d'Armes, L-1136 Luxembourg Art, Culture & Literature

DBC – Do, Be, Continue it

Location. : CeCiL's Box showcase, rue du Curé

With the CeCiL's Box, the Cercle Cité supports local creation by presenting and promoting the work of emerging and young artists from the Greater Region in one of its shop windows in the Rue du Curé. This mini exhibition space, visible 7 days a week, day and night, offers a street-side location in the heart of the city to a series of original and ephemeral interventions from the plastic and applied arts, with the aim of arousing the curiosity of passers-by and questioning the collective imagination.

The 38th intervention, entrusted to artist Henri Schoetter, is entitled DBC – Do, Be, Continue it..

Fueled by a lifelong desire to create his own comic, Henri Schoetter uses the opportunity of CeCiL’s Box to test a format that slightly deviates from his usual habitus of thorough research and development phases.

DBC – Do, Be, Continue it is an interactive comic installation that grows over time in public space.

A playful reinterpretation of the enigmatic ‘to be continued’, the project invites the public not just to anticipate, but to co-author what comes next. It begins with a spark, but the narrative unfolds through ideas and thoughts submitted by passersby.

By scanning a QR code, anyone can read the latest pages and suggest the direction the story should take, anonymously by default, or with attribution if desired. The goal is to create a shared narrative space where imagination, absurdity, tenderness, and reflection coexist, with all their quirks, challenges, and contradictions.

Updated once to twice a week, the comic becomes a mirror of collective consciousness and co-authorship.

To read. To imagine. To participate. - Do. Be. Continue it.

We invite you to meet-up with the artist in front of the CeCiL's Box on Thursday December 11 at 12:00.
