Cliffs along the Alzette valley

Where? L-1614 Itzig

The PC1 bicycle path running alongside the river is home to many species of animal and plant.

The sandstone rock face that lines the Alzette Valley provides valuable habitats for a wide variety of species. Temperature fluctuations and dryness on the open rocks, as well as high humidity in the shaded rock crevices, contribute to this diversity. Ferns and moss particularly thrive in the shady crevices of the rocks.
