Immerse yourself in the history of the medieval ruins and discover how the last occupant lived in the 17th century castle. In the beautiful countryside of Beaufort, you can visit not one but two castles. Not far from an idyllic little lake, an impressive medieval castle towers over the landscape. It was built between 1050 and 1650. Following major restoration works, the imposing ruins were opened to the public as early as 1932 and today are considered a historic monument. Just around the corner, you will find a residence dating from the 17th century. Its fascinating interiors bring the magic of the past back to life. The 17th century residence can only be visited as part of a guided tour, which ends with a tasting of the famous Cassero liqueur (blackcurrant liqueur).

The site is open daily from mid-March to mid-November. Last admission to the castle grounds is at 5:00 p.m.

The medieval ruins can be visited with or without a guide. The 17th century residence can only be visited with a guide.
