The imposing castle of Vianden is considered to be one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the Romanesque and Gothic eras. Discover it on a guided tour and let yourself be captivated by its impressive architecture. Built between the 11th and 14th centuries on the foundations of a Roman castel and a Carolingian refuge, the castle long belonged to the Grand Ducal family before becoming state property in 1977. It was even named one of the 21 most beautiful castles in the world by the American news channel CNN. The castle's bistro and visitor centre offer the perfect opportunity to take a break at the end of your visit.
