Wish-Making Objects

In the framework of the €AT group exhibition and inspired by the small object-artwork Common Carrier Case (x votive / clarity cloud) mini (2025) by artist Mariechen Danz

Small symbolic objects have long been used to bring luck or protection. In this workshop, we will explore symbols from different cultures around the world and discover how they can represent our own personal wishes. Each participant will create a unique piece from metal to inspire resilience and bring a positive glow to the future.

Birgit Thalau. has been making jewellery since 1996. Her practice explores both the material and immaterial meanings of (small) objects, as well as their ability to bridge our inner emotional world with the outer, social world that surrounds us.
