In Luxembourg, Carnival begins on Candlemas and is often celebrated until Mid-Lent Sunday. And what tradition is an essential part of Carnival, besides enjoying lots of treats? Dressing up! That’s why, on Saturday, February 28, our children’s workshop (ages 6 to 12) offers the chance to create a “Bokemask” (= a Carnival mask) from fabric. Together with our cultural mediator, the children will draw, cut, paint, and/or glue their creations so that by the end of the afternoon, each little designer can take home their mask and show it off at the next Carnival ball!
