Where? 1, rue Leon Metz, L-4238 Esch-sur-Alzette Theatre, Film & Shows, Other, Art, Culture & Literature

Explore, Create, and Connect with the exhibition Earthbound. Worms, Soil, Decay

Join us every Sunday morning for a vibrant immersion into the world of the exhibition Earthbound. Worms, Soil, Decay. Stroll through our spaces, discover the exhibition at your own pace, and engage in a diverse program of activities designed for all ages: young and old, art enthusiasts, science curious, or ecology passionate.

Creative workshops, guided tours, cross-disciplinary perspectives, yoga sessions, vegetable markets, and flea markets... Each Sunday offers a new way to resonate with the themes of the exhibition: soils, decomposition, earthworms, and our connection to the underground world. A Sunday at Bridderhaus is an opportunity to wander, discover, and enjoy a moment of calm and sharing.

Experience the unique atmosphere of our inner courtyard when the weather permits. It's the perfect spot to relax, sip a coffee, savor a carrot cake, and enjoy a pleasant time with family or friends in a laid-back and friendly ambiance.

Open to all.

All activities are without registration.

09:00–12:00 | Root Market – Every first Sunday of Summer at Bridderhaus!

As part of the Earthbound. Worms, Soil, Decay project, CIGL Esch invites you to discover a root market every first Sunday of Summer in the inner courtyard of Bridderhaus in Esch-sur-Alzette.

This convivial moment is a great opportunity to meet the locals, neighbors, nature enthusiasts, and curious people, exchange ideas, explore, and stock up on seasonal products.

On the program:

  • A market with vegetables and plants, focusing on roots: Carrots, beetroots, and from August, potatoes.
  • A selection of small plants for your garden or balcony, ready to be adopted.
  • Homemade lacto-fermentation jars: A healthy and natural way to preserve vegetables and discover new flavors.

CIGL Esch, a local organization engaged in solidarity economy and the environment, supports professional integration projects while promoting short supply chains, land work, and social connections.

11:00 am - 11:30 am | WORMS : de vers poétiques et autres imaginaires | Storytelling performance for adults| Luisa Bevilacqua | FR

Luisa Bevilacqua immerses herself in the creation of a poetic and narrative performance that emerged from a three-day artistic mini-residency. During this time, she let her mind be nourished by the worm words in the book selection of the reading corner of the exhibition to create a hybrid imagination - inspired by a creative process based on different cycles of reading/writing, indigestion/digestion, waking/sleeping, day/night, orality/writing, transience/timelessness.

.

Art, like worms, is essential for maintaining the fertility of thought, of creativity, and thus for a breeding ground that enables the emergence of constantly renewed narratives - capable of nourishing possible worlds.

09:00–13:00 | Drinks and breakfast by MESA
