Creative workshop for families “Wood, colours & creativity!” »

This workshop is all about wood! Together, we will discover how to turn a simple wooden disc into a colourful piece of art. With some string, a bit of tape or a sponge, and of course lots of paint, you can get creative and design your own wooden discs.

Open workshop for everyone “City of Dreams“

Discover the City Visions exhibition in a creative and playful way. Visit our creative studio, located directly in the exhibition space, and create the city of your dreams. A variety of materials awaits you!

“A medieval walk"

Step into the medieval past of Luxembourg City on this guided walk. The tour begins at the Lëtzebuerg City Museum, where a model of the city around 1500 offers a vivid glimpse into life at the time. From there, continue into the old town to uncover traces of its medieval heritage.

Discover the history of the city of Luxembourg from its origins to the 18th century. During this guided tour, the legendary Count Sigefroid welcomes you and brings the history and legends of Lucilinburhuc to life through documents, models, and objects from the museum’s collection.

Join Neckel Scholtus on a discovery walk to hidden locations that reveal surprising perspectives of Luxembourg and learn how to capture them using your camera or smartphone. A fun outing for the entire family, this walk lets you see the city in a whole new light!

Guided tour « Luxembourg au Moyen âge : KIDS edition »

Let’s take the time to discover a fascinating period. With the help of models, charters, and other artefacts, we travel back to the 10th century and explore how the medieval city gradually developed from the castle known as Lucilinburhuc. Then, we leave the museum to visit the archaeological crypt on Rue de la Reine.
