Celtic Metalwork

Step into the fascinating world of Celtic metalworking! On 7 September, the Biodiversum will become an Iron Age forge. Experience how the Celts refined metals and discover the role of fibulae in clothing and jewellery.

✨ What awaits you:

Live demonstrations of Iron Age forging and casting techniques

Refinement and decoration of metals

“Fibula knowledge” – learn about the forms, uses and history of Celtic pins

Children’s activities and hands-on activities on the Iron Age and Celtic crafts

✨ The Living History group Projekt Latène and a master blacksmith will be on site all day. Ask questions, try techniques and experience craftsmanship as it was over 2000 years ago!
