Learning from the Dead
.
This anatomical exhibition presents an extensive, scientifically valuable collection of educationally prepared anatomical specimens. It consists of preserved real human bodies, skeletons, limbs, organs, and organ blocks, conveying medical knowledge and unique impressions to interested visitors.
.
The bodies, body parts, and organs come from body donors and are permanently preserved using the so-called plastination technique.
Special attention is given to the topic of cancer and tumors: various types of tumors and tumor samples are displayed and explained. The exhibition offers detailed explanations, multimedia presentations, and didactic panels on general and specific topics related to the human body. Main topics include the skeleton and musculoskeletal system, the brain and nervous system, reproductive organs, heart and blood vessels, kidneys and urinary tract, the digestive system, the senses, respiratory tract and lungs.
Out of respect for the deceased and the purpose of body donation, all bodies and organs are displayed exclusively in medical poses. The primary focus is on imparting knowledge through real human exhibits, presented in-depth and comprehensively.
