CTRL+ALT+MEMORY
La Concierge
La Concierge brings the exhibition ‘Ctrl + Alt + Memory’
to the CAW, a project that is both topical and thought-provoking.
From 7 November to 7 December,
four artists show how digital media shape our memories
and what it means when technology and
memory merge.
La Concierge, a young Luxembourg art organisation,
was founded in 2023 by Liliana Francisco and Steven Cruz.
They wanted to create a platform that not only makes art
visible, but also fairly supports and connects artists.
Their goal is to welcome new and emerging artists in particular and
Their goal is to welcome new and emerging artists in particular and to accompany them
on their journey. After the success of their first project, ‘Lost Symbiosis’, they were looking for new challenges. This led to the exhibition
‘Ctrl + Alt + Memory’, realised in close collaboration with the CAW, which was immediately convinced by the idea.

Inspired by the annual theme of the Walfer Bicherdeeg,
Sirah Haris, Klara Troost, Milo Hatfield and Zohra Mrad
explore the question of how digital media influence our memory.
The exhibition features interactive
installations, screen projections and paintings, among other things. The
mission is to encourage visitors to think, reflect,
question and criticise. "We live in a
time when information is often consumed unfiltered.
And that's exactly what the four want to highlight," explains
Liliana Francisco.

For La Concierge, art is much more than decoration; it is always an expression: personal, political, direct. The organisation actively campaigns for fair working conditions, creative freedom and the preservation of copyright. ‘Artists have a voice – and that voice should be heard,’ emphasises Steven Cruz.
This is another reason why the exhibition is not only a visual experience, but also profound in terms of content. As part of Walfer Bicherdeeg, La Concierge invites you to a public panel discussion at the CAW on Sunday, 16 November at 4 p.m. A moderated discussion will focus on the works and the influence of digital media on our society.
