The first rays of sunshine after a dark night have given people hope at all times: hope for peace, hope in faith, hope for a better world. With the program Dawn, the Franz Schubert Choir traces the light of hope in a cappella music from six centuries: from Palestrina to Rheinberger, from Mozart to Mäntyjärvi. The focus of the program is Benjamin Britten's “Advance Democracy”, a passionate musical plea for freedom and democracy from 1938 - as relevant today as it was back then.
