The television camera is soon stolen by a group of four reckless teenagers who turn the lens on their own volatile exploits. After a robbery goes awry, the four escape into the depths of Medellín, documenting crime and street violence from the fringes of society. A provocative portrait of youth on the margins, Barrio Triste channels the raw, frantic energy of Harmony Korine while revealing the boys’ internal despair.
