The village of Remerschen captivates with its various buildings by the Luxembourg star architect François Valentiny. The nature reserve as well as the leisure and recreation area "Haff Réimech" highlight the village as a natural spot, which is in no way inferior to its famous neighbour Schengen.
The nature reserve “Haff Réimech”, at the foot of the vineyards between Schengen and Remich, is well known for its great diversity of bird species and its rich flora and fauna. It is in this area that the impressive nature reserve “Biodiversum Camille Gira” was built on an artificially created island.
Numerous lakes created during the sand extraction in the region attract hundreds of water rats looking for relaxation in the sun or for cooling off during the hot season. Children and sports fans can benefit from the enlarged swimming pool with water games, 3 beach volleyball courts, a petanque court and the possibility to practice stand-up paddling.
