Welleschter Kirmes

Where? Rue de la Source, L-5470 Wellenstein Traditions, Wine festivals, Music Festivals, LDAV

One of the most visited and popular festivals in the country. Entertainment and excellent food until all day and night long!

In Wellenstein, the traditional “Welleschter Kirmes”, which is well known beyond the borders of the country, takes place every year. A fruit called “Duederen”, that only grows in this area is the centre of attention at the funfair. This plum-like yellow fruit is prepared in the most different ways. A glass of wine, a "Duederen Drëpp", hearty food; “Welleschter Kiermes” attracts numerous visitors to stay in the charming winegrowing village every year. During the fair, which lasts several days, music, dance and joie de vivre determine the village rhythm. Concerts, art exhibitions, culinary specialities and the fairground market provide a varied programme and a lively atmosphere.
