FR Après Rigoletto (21 • 22) et La Cenerentola (24 • 25), les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg poursuivent leur collaboration avec l’Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine en proposant La Bohème de Giacomo Puccini. La mise en scène est confiée à David Geselson, auteur et metteur en scène très remarqué au Festival d’Avignon 2024 pour sa pièce Neanderthal, qui est accompagné par Marta Gardolińska à la direction musicale. En racontant l’histoire d’une bande d’étudiants parisiens bohèmes sans le sou et de l’amour condamné de Mimi et du poète Rodolfo, La Bohème raconte également les bouleversements de toute une époque, ce XIXe siècle avec ses révolutions et les aspirations des peuples à la liberté et à l’autonomie. Un spectacle qui met en lumière la manière dont l’Histoire façonne le destin des individus, tout en étant elle-même marquée par ces individus.

Die Geschichte um Liebschaften und Kummer einiger junger PariserInnen, die von künstlerischem Erfolg träumen und in bitterer Armut leben, bewegt ZuschauerInnen seit über einem Jahrhundert. Die Théâtres de la Ville setzen – nach Rigoletto (21 • 22) und La Cenerentola (24 • 25) – für Puccinis Meisterwerk ihre Zusammenarbeit mit der Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine fort. Am Pult steht deren musikalische Leiterin Marta Gardolińska. Regie führt David Geselson, der nach erfolgreichen Arbeiten im Film und Theater erstmals eine Oper inszeniert. Ihn reizt vor allem die historische Brisanz des Stoffs, der nicht umsonst im Revolutionsjahr 1830 spielt. Seine Bohème führt uns die Auswirkungen der Geschichte auf das Leben Einzelner eindringlich vor Augen.
