Duo Libera- Esther Adam (soprano) and Juan Pablo Esmok Lew (guitar)

Duo Libera was formed in the summer of 2022 by the Israeli-Hungarian opera singer and composer, Esther Adam and the Argentinian guitarist and composer, Juan Pablo Esmok Lew, when they performed together for the first time in Europe. Since then, they have performed in various music festivals, castles and concert halls in Hungary, Italy, Germany, Romania and Luxembourg.

Together as classical musicians, they bring new and refreshing interpretations of   well-known beloved songs, they make new and exciting arrangements to famous, beautiful opera arias and they create original music as well, which they present to their public in live concerts and which have been recorded in their six albums, which were published and released by The Orchard (Sony).

They take these very famous opera arias and show them in a much intimate, chamber music version, building bridges between cultures showing that music has no borders. Their aim is to create lyric but rhythmic music, combining dances and different styles from different countries, but still performing them in their own, unique classical interpretation mode.

About the artists:

Esther Adam (soprano)

Esther Adam was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and pursued her musical studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree in classical singing and music pedagogy.

Her solo debut was at the age of 13 at the Great Synagogue of Budapest, marking the beginning of her successful career. Since then, Esther has performed at numerous festivals and concerts, collaborating with orchestras and giving over 200 recitals across Europe and Israel.

Several of her performances have been broadcast live and recorded for prestigious national radio stations, including the renowned Hungarian classical station, Bartók Rádió, and Israel's Kol Israel. In the past three years, Esther has toured extensively, performing at festivals and in concerts throughout Europe.

She has worked with various ensembles and artists, but most frequently with her artistic partner, Juan Pablo Esmok Lew, as part of their Duo Libera project.

Esther is also in the process of recording an A cappella solo album, where she arranges and composes music for multiple voices, performing songs in over ten languages. Fluent in nine languages, Esther brings a unique depth to her performances, infusing songs from diverse cultures with fresh interpretations and colors of her own.

Juan Pablo Esmok Lew (guitar)

Juan Pablo Esmok Lew was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is a graduate of the prestigious Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of Music. Even as a student, Juan Pablo demonstrated his passion for music by arranging for various ensembles, in addition to performing and presenting classical guitar concerts and recitals. He has performed at numerous festivals and concerts across Argentina, the United States, and Europe—both as a soloist and with various ensembles, including Duo Color a Nuevo, Los Primos Gabino, and more.

Over the past decade, Juan Pablo has been invited to give masterclasses in his home country, as well as in Europe and the United States. He is also a leading educator at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory, where he inspires and teaches the next generation of musicians.

In 2020, he released his debut classical album, followed by his second album in 2021. The album features his original compositions, including a special piece written in memory of his mother, created in collaboration with nearly 60 artists from around the world.

Today, Juan Pablo is an active touring artist, performing with various ensembles and bands, most notably alongside his artistic partner, Esther Adam, with whom he forms Duo Libera.
