The Luxembourg Amercan Cultural Society was formed in 2004 by Americans of Luxembourg descent and citizens of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The mission of the society is to preserve Luxembourg heritage in the US and to foster continued relationships between the people of Luxembourg and the US.
The society is undertaking the construction of the Luxembourg American Cultural Center in
Ozaukee County, Wisconsin just north of Milwaukee.
The first phase of the cultural center, the Roots & Leaves Museum,
is scheduled to open in August 2007 as part of the European Cultural Year 2007.
