Tchaikovsky & Mendelssohn: Piano Trios

Deze inhoud is helaas niet in het Nederlands beschikbaar.

.Two masters of melody tried their hand at the piano trio… One combination of instruments, two contrasting opinions. While Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy wrote to his sister about his desire to compose for this ensemble, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky initially refused to content his patron with one – he simply couldn’t stand how they sounded together! In this concert, three outstanding musicians – Renaud Capuçon, Kian Soltani and Mao Fujita – will explore some of Tchaikovsky’s and Mendelssohn’s piano trios. The first is dedicated «to the memory of a great artist», while the latter is acclaimed as «the prototype of the Romantic piano trio.».
