In the framework of the exhibition €AT.
To mark the launch of the new exhibition €AT at Casino Luxembourg, we warmly invite you to an afterWORKshop focusing on the exchange of topics such as value, consumption, sustainability, and aesthetics.
At the heart of the evening is the Japanese repair technique Kintsugi – a mindful and artistic approach to breakage. In this centuries-old method, broken ceramics are not thrown away but reassembled using a special lacquer and gold dust. The result is a new object, whose beauty is enhanced by its history and imperfections.
.
All necessary materials and broken ceramic plates will be provided on site. Participants may also bring their own broken dishware.
The technique serves as a starting point for reflection and conversation about how we deal with resources, the meaning of flaws, and the value of objects.
*In our case, this is not a food-safe method.
