Join us every Sunday morning for a vibrant immersion into the world of the exhibition Earthbound. Worms, Soil, Decay. Stroll through our spaces, discover the exhibition at your own pace, and engage in a diverse program of activities designed for all ages: young and old, art enthusiasts, science curious, or ecology passionate.

Creative workshops, guided tours, cross-disciplinary perspectives, yoga sessions, vegetable markets, and flea markets... Each Sunday offers a new way to resonate with the themes of the exhibition: soils, decomposition, earthworms, and our connection to the underground world. A Sunday at Bridderhaus is an opportunity to wander, discover, and enjoy a moment of calm and sharing.

Experience the unique atmosphere of our inner courtyard when the weather permits. It's the perfect spot to relax, sip a coffee, savor a carrot cake, and enjoy a pleasant time with family or friends in a laid-back and friendly ambiance.

Open to all.

All activities are without registration.

09:00 - 12:00 | Flea Market "Gardening Differently" | In collaboration with SIVEC Reuse.

Come and discover a flea market like no other, dedicated to gardening and working with the earth, in collaboration with SIVEC. This unique event offers a selection of gardening tools, plants, pots, and reclaimed materials, giving a second life to items that would otherwise be thrown away.

This market is an ideal opportunity to exchange ideas, learn, and engage in an eco-responsible approach. Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or simply curious to discover sustainable alternatives, this event is for you.

.

Let’s transform “waste” into “resources” together.

09:00 - 12:00 | Drop-in Workshop for Families | Earthworm Manifesto

The Earthworm Manifesto acts as a speculative, transformative storyline weaving relations between humans, earthworms, and the underground. By proposing a non-anthropocentric fabulation that addresses the need to decentralize humans from soil assemblages, it asks: How would you become part of their manifesto? What relations and stories are you building? Why is it necessary to consider facts and fables together?

Inspired by Haraway’s concept of SF—string figures, science fact, science fiction, speculative fabulation—this workshop invites participants to generate, blend, and compost new stories and knowledges. We will use methods such as storytelling, collective writing and drawing (Cadavre exquis) to continue co-creating the Earthworm Manifesto. The outputs will contribute to a growing archive created through this workshop series.

Presented by Merve Bektaş, led by the Bridderhaus educational team.

11:00 - 11:30 | Family Guided Tour | FR

Come explore the Earthbound. Worms, Soil, Decay exhibition, an artistic and ecological adventure to share as a family! Through the works of Merve Bektaş (Turkey), Grandeza Studio + Locument (Spain/Portugal/Poland), Natalie Taylor (Scotland), and Francisca Álvarez Sánchez (Chile), discover the importance of earthworms and soil for life on Earth.

The exhibition explains in a playful and accessible way why these small inhabitants of the earth are so valuable and how they are threatened by current ecological crises.

During this family tour, you can ask questions, discuss the works, and learn more about nature and art. A mediator will be there to guide you and share information suitable for all ages, young and old!

09:00 - 13:00 | Drinks and Breakfast by MESA

Every Sunday morning, MESA offers coffee, tea, and carrot cake in a warm atmosphere – and, weather permitting, on the terrace of Bridderhaus.

09:00 - 13:00 | Natural wine selection by The pépins
