Ana Carpisassi (flûte) et Gerard Mejias Novoa (Guitare)
Ana Carpisassi (flute) and Gerard Mejias Novoa (guitar) both took their first steps in music at a young age. Well guided by their teachers Päivi Kauffmann (flute) and Sergi Vicente and Maite Rubio (guitar), both decided to commit themselves fully to becoming professional musicians: Ana is currently studying for her degree in 'music education' at Uni.lu and is simultaneously studying for her first year at the Conservatorium Maastricht (NL) under Valerie Debaele. Gerard Mejias Novoa, after obtaining his bachelor's degree in Barcelona, will complete his master's degree in classical guitar in June 2024 under the direction of maestro Carlo Marchione, also at the Conservatorium Maastricht (NL).
Both have worked in music education, teaching their instruments, playing in various projects and orchestras and taking part in numerous masterclasses, and are delighted to be performing as a duo for the first time in Luxembourg.
