On Sunday 3 August 2025, the Grand Château d'Ansembourg will inaugurate the very first edition of the Festival du Vivant, an immersive and sensory event combining culture, nature, gastronomy and music in an exceptional heritage setting. Reviving the traditional Fête du Château, organised for over 30 years, this new festive event in a bucolic setting helps to raise awareness of contemporary issues: environmental preservation, cultural diversity and openness to the world.
A rich and engaging programme
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors will be able to discover:
· Craft and food stalls from over 10 countries,
· Workshops and activities for children (games, storytelling, face painting, etc.)
· A stand on reforestation and ecosystem restoration initiatives by Cœur Vert Luxembourg
· Guided tours of the castle's Baroque gardens in French, English and German
· Two free live concerts in the open air:
Cellist and ambassador for the Office National des Forêts-Agir pour la forêt (National Forestry Office - Action for the Forest), Olivia Gay invites audiences to discover music in a different way, in the heart of the woods or natural sites, to raise awareness of their preservation. She will perform ‘Le Silence de la Forêt.’ (The Silence of the Forest) as part of her first concert in Luxembourg and will be accompanied on piano by Aurélien Pontier. Malter is a young soul band comprising a singer-guitarist, a bassist and a drummer. The trio performed on 28 May 2025 at the Académie du Climat in Paris as part of the Printemps Sonore festival. They will perform tracks from their latest album, Fleur, which combines Motown sounds with a modern twist.
