Stephen Korytko is a narrative and commercial director. His background in sound and experience as a commercial Director of Photography shape his meticulous approach to filmmaking-where atmosphere is as vital as composition.
His work became increasingly narrative-driven through his 15 years in commercials film, culminating in his fictional debut with the short film The Golden Record. (2023) which premiered at the Black Nights Tallinn Film Festival. A bold, dialogue-free meditation on human connection, which contrasts the intimacy of a 1970s sound recording studio with the vast unknown of space.
His upcoming projects include his debut feature, Dead Dad Girl, a dark comedy about the lengths we go to fit in, and an art installation on the degeneration of memory, created in collaboration with musician Antoine Honorez. Both are slated for release in 2026.
