While xenophobia and extremism are once again becoming part of everyday life in Europe, tiny Luxembourg—with a foreign population of 50 percent—stands as a prime example of resistance to xenophobia. After all, since the Industrial Revolution, Luxembourg has always welcomed various immigrant groups with open arms—hasn’t it?
In “Bouneschlupp,” two young actresses and musicians challenge common clichés, confront structural racism within their own family histories, and discover the perfect remedy against xenophobia: finally listening properly to the foreigners who have found refuge in our country.

Finestra is a young performance collective that mainly creates small performances in public spaces—whether street art or other similar art forms. The collective has built a platform for the multidisciplinary art form of performance, through which new perspectives, exchanges, and connections emerge. Their productions are primarily influenced by current events and the local zeitgeist.
