Activities with children

Family days in Luxembourg

Luxembourg is full of activities for family fun whatever the weather. Climbing parks, indoor and outdoor adventure playgrounds, with pirate ships, castles and fairy-tale villages await children on almost every corner.

In the Minett Park in the south of the country, families can relive the world of the miners, travel through the old ironworks on a steam train and ride the railway that used to carry the miners deep into the mountains. Theme parks are also worth a visit: the ‘Parc Merveilleux’ in Bettembourg with its giant sleeping giant, climbed on by generations of children. Or the Escher Déierepark (animal park) in Gaalgebierg with its 25 animal species. Its award-winning Escher Bamhaiser tree houses, welcome families for original nights in the middle of nature.

Museums and the Science Center offer thematic tours and creative workshops. Museum admission is often free for children.

For more indoor fun, there are numerous swimming pools, bowling alleys and escape rooms around the country.
