« On pourrait faire le tour du Monde »
'On pourrait faire le tour du Monde' is an artist residency project involving two photographer-authors, a writer and a geographer. It includes educational work with young people aged 12 to 18 and will take place in the cross-border area between France, Belgium and Luxembourg, in the territories of the Community of Communes of the Pays Haut Val d'Alzette, in the border area of Luxembourg and Belgium, so straddling three countries. The project will last from 2021 to 2022, with a return in 2022. In regards the artistic approach and the way in which the photographers intend to turn to the residents, each is free to choose their approach. However, as documentary photographers, the artists are keen to explore the territory and to take an interest in local history. Their work is resolutely geared towards provoking encounters and exploring the landscape. The documentary photographer is a storyteller and, in this field, the work of the photographers consists of being a 'walking photographer', in a human relation and in relation to the environment.
