VisitLuxembourg-App Challenges Terms and Conditions of Participation

The economic interest group Luxembourg for Tourism GIE, registered with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register under number C124, represented by its Board of Directors currently in office, established and having its registered office at L-1432 Luxembourg, 6, rue Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (hereinafter: "the organiser") is organising "Challenge(s)" via the VisitLuxembourg mobile application.

Participation in and completion of the challenges are governed by the following provisions.

Challenges

A selection of challenges of different durations are available year-round. Expired challenges will disappear, and new challenges will appear as they become available.

A challenge consists of collecting points by visiting points of interest on a hiking, biking or cultural tour. As they pass through these points of interest, users will have to check-in via the VisitLuxembourg application on their phone to earn points. When a challenge has been completed, the participant will appear in a ranking with their player name. Participants who have completed a challenge will have the opportunity to register with their name and e-mail address in order to enter the prize draw and win a prize. Registration and participation are optional.

In order to take part in the challenges, participants must first activate their location on their phone. Location activation is required to register with the points of interest.

Points

  • 25 points: beginning the challenge
  • 100 points: each POI (attraction) visited and recorded
  • 75 points: finishing the challenge

Participants

Participation in the challenges is free, with no purchase obligation, and open to any individual.

The participant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided during registration. The participant shall confirm upon registration that the personal data provided is correct. If not, the participant may be ineligible to receive prizes.

The organiser reserves the right to exclude, at any time and without notice, any person who has committed fraud during a challenge.

Liability, complaints and disputes

The organiser may not be held liable if, in the event of force majeure or events beyond its control, it is required to cancel the challenges, shorten or extend them, modify the conditions or replace the prizes won with a prize of equivalent value or similar characteristics.

These rules are governed by Luxembourg law. Should any of these provisions be declared null and void, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Any complaint must be the subject of a written request addressed exclusively to the address of the organiser and must include the exact contact details of the author of the complaint. Written disputes and complaints relating to the challenges will no longer be considered after a period of 1 month following the closure of the periodic awards.

An attempt will be made to settle any dispute arising from the challenges amicably. The dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
