All the highlights of the Müllerthal region on a bike tour: Schiessentümpel, Echternach with old town and lake, tunnel in Bech... The tour is available on 6-7 and 20-21 August.
The tour combines all the highlights of the Müllerthal region. From the Park&Ride Junglinster, you can head into the heart of the region on closed roads: through the Black Ernz valley with the highlights Schiessentümpel, the “Kallektuffquell” limestone spring and the “Heringer Millen” in Müllerthal. In the afternoon, a stop at "Mëllerdall Plage" is worthwhile! In Grundhof, head towards the PC3 National Cycle Trail, which leads through the beautiful valley of the Sûre to Echternach, with its picturesque old town with its market square, basilica and city wall. From there, it’s not far to Lake Echternach, where the tour can also be started. Rentabike bikes can be rented here at the P&R Nonnemillen/Um Séi. On the PC2 national cycle trail, which runs along a former railroad track, follow the slight incline to Consdorf and then through the imposing Bech Tunnel back to the starting point at the P&R Junglinster. A bicycle shuttle with up to eight places will run on all four days from Luxembourg City via Junglinster and Scheidgen to Echternach and back: https://www.cfl.lu/fr-fr/news/detail/velosummer-2022

Tour departs from the P&R Junglinster. From here, follow the CR121, which is closed to motor vehicles, via Blumendall and the “Reilander Millen”, passing the “Kallektuffquell” and the Schiessentümpel to Müllerthal. Continue along the banks of the Black Ernz down to Grundhof, where the tour turns right onto the PC3 and follows the river Sauer to Echternach. The tour can also be started at the P&R Nonnemillen on Lake Echternach. From there, head to Consdorf on the PC2 National Cycle Trail, which runs along a former railroad track, then via Bech to the P&R in Junglinster and back to the starting point. This circular tour is best cycled clockwise, but the other direction is also possible as the route is marked in both directions.

Tip for families: Follow the route as a straight-course tour, from Echternach to Weilerbach and Grundhof to Schiessentümpel and then back along the same route.
