Zehetmair Quartet
The Zehetmair Quartet, founded in 1994 by Austrian conductor and violinist Thomas Zehetmair, is undoubtedly one of the world's most outstanding string quartets. It is highly respected for its thoughtful and unique interpretations, which are distinguished by their clarity and intransigence.
The four virtuosos play at the highest technical level and find in their music a clarity that, combined with their enormous power of expression, will not soon be imitated. As well as the standard repertoire, the quartet also impresses with its fantastic grasp of contemporary music.
