Dieses beeindruckt zuerst einmal durch das titelgebende Bühnenbild: eine riesige rosa Blumenwiese. Zwischendurch wird sie von Schäferhunden bewacht. Mit immer neuen Einfällen präsentiert das Ensemble die bedingungslose Macht der Liebe – mal kraftvoll und mal zärtlich, mal kitschig und mal absurd, mal traurig und mal komisch. Zu Musik von Léhar, Gershwin oder Schubert erlebt das Publikum ein Kaleidoskop der Gefühle – und die volle Bandbreite des Tanztheaters.
FR Après Das Stück mit dem Schiff en 2022, le Tanztheater Wuppertal, sous la nouvelle direction artistique de Boris Charmatz, revient à Luxembourg avec une autre œuvre-signature de Pina Bausch, Nelken, montée pour la première fois en 1982. Portée par une nouvelle génération d’interprètes, cette chorégraphie, composée d’un « bouquet » de danses, est un hymne à la beauté des corps dansants. Dans un immense champ de 8.000 œillets, les danseurs et danseuses rejouent les saisons et montent en virtuosité, non sans s’amuser du langage classique. Une vision du monde à la fois tragique, cruelle autant que tendre et débordante d’une grande humanité. Nelken est un sommet dans le répertoire du Tanztheater Wuppertal qui a su toucher des générations entières de spectateurs et spectatrices.
EN Tanztheater Wuppertal, the company founded by late dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, is always a highlight at the Grand Théâtre. After Masurca Fogo, Vollmond, Kontakthof and Das Stück mit dem Schiff last season, the Tanztheater returns under new artistic director Boris Charmatz with another classic: Nelken. ”Nelken“ translates as ”carnations“, and the image of the thousands of pink blooms that carpet the stage for this piece is unforgettable. The flowers suggest a peaceful Garden of Eden. That constant paradox between innocence and horror, and the search for love within it, is explored in a series of oppositions, through tension-filled dance routines set to music by, among others, Franz Léhar, George Gershwin, Franz Schubert or Louis Armstrong.
