Luxembourg Philharmonia, symphony orchestra founded in 1979, is made up of around 90 musicians, including experienced amateurs and a few professional musicians. Since 1996, the orchestra has been under the baton of Danish conductor Martin Elmquist.
Luxembourg Philharmonia is delighted to present the talented young Polish violinist Olivia Bujnowicz.
Olivia began playing the violin at the age of 6. She has won several prizes at national and international violin competitions and has performed in Europe and Asia (e.g. Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates). Olivia is currently a member of the Sinfonia Varsovia symphony orchestra.
The repertoire includes the great classical works from Beethoven to Shostakovich, as well as concerts of popular operas and operettas, which are a great success every year. Luxembourg Philharmonia performs regularly in all the major concert halls in the Grand Duchy and occasionally gives a few concerts abroad.
