Description of the courses
Cuban culture dates back 300 years, making its music one of the richest in the world.
During this course, your teachers will teach you to play the most famous and appreciated rhythms of Cuban music.
You will have the chance to discover its very mixed culture which makes us travel and which we love so much.
Discover the art of playing percussion instruments (major and minor), string instruments (such as bass or guitar) and keyboard instruments (piano).
You will also learn singing as well as vocal expression in Cuban and Latin American music.
The Cuban music you will learn to play:
The salsa;
The rumba;
The cha cha cha;
The son ;
The boléro ;
The pilón ;
The mambo, etc.
During the dance lessons that follow the music lessons, we offer you a journey to the heart of our inner rhythms, our collective rhythms, an awareness of Caribbean rhythms, in direct relation to percussion, instruments and dance.
Anchoring, vibration, breath and movement in space will be discussed.
Anna and Ramiro will guide you in exploring and creating rhythms with musical instruments.
Alessia and Jérôme will take you to a spontaneous movement according to each person's physical abilities: without judgement, simply dancing what we are.
Accessible to all audiences without the need for prior dance practice.
