Bachata dance description
The traditional Bachata will be child's play for you, it is a light and joyful dance.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, traditional Bachata is easy to learn.
It has musical influences of African origin and is inspired by dance styles such as Merengue, Son, Cha Cha Cha and Tango.
Modern Bachata is more sophisticated, with a more romantic character and sensuality.
The style you interpret will transmit passion par excellence, or joy and fun: it will depend on the character you want to give it, and your musical listening.
The character of the dance is obtained by a movement of the body and the hip which retains a similarity with certain African dances.
The expansion of tourism in the Dominican Republic has given Bachata international popularity. Very present during Latin evenings, it is essential.
