The aim is to develop new offers and services for Luxembourg's rural tourism. There are (almost) no limits to the imagination.
Examples for good ideas are: Extraordinary experiences, e.g. a look behind the scenes or visits to exclusive places, creative hospitality concepts e.g. in nature, special cultural encounters, exciting and eventful creative workshops and participatory offers.
Important is: Your idea...
... can be realized in rural areas or establishes a connection between city and the countryside,
... is relevant to tourism,
... fits into the thematic areas of nature, culture, agriculture, food production or culinary arts
... and: can be realized with feasible effort and in a timely manner.
Three selected best practice examples illustrate what kind of rural tourism ideas could be realized in a similar form within the framework of this initiative in Luxembourg. They serve primarily as inspiration:
Picnic basket or outdoor dining concepts:
Creative hospitality concepts along hiking and biking routes, near tourist attractions or beautiful spots close to villages or nature can turn a trip to Luxembourg's rural regions into a culinary highlight.
Participatory countryside experiences:
Working for a while or on a few appointments on site with producers of regional products - this allows a growing tourist target group that wants to actively immerse themselves in authentic experiences to do just that. Attractive participatory concepts can appeal to these target groups and offer new diversification opportunities for rural businesses.
Exceptional, creative and exclusive experiences:
Luxembourg has a lot to offer in terms of tourism, which can be highlighted through special experience design. How about new, interesting photo workshops at exclusive locations? Innovative guided tours? Experiences that allow guests to immerse themselves in nature or handicraft? Your ideas are welcome!
Does the concept connect city and country? - All the better!
