In the exhibition we look at Francis Bacon’s Triptych Three Studies for Portrait of George Dyer. Here you can draw three emotions that seem most important to you. By exaggerating the shapes, such as large eyes and twisted mouths, the faces appear even more distorted. Fun and drama! Emotions don’t have to look ‘perfect’ to be real. Art can show emotions and tell stories in unusual ways. We will create a mini-triptych on paper using our sketches and different painting techniques.
