During this day we will celebrate the wild interstices of our cities and activate our creativity in a living playground. From a botanical inventory and the collection of certain plants you will learn to make charcoal. Together we will explore the graphic potential of this tool in order to take the measure of a fragile landscape, full of history by walking through its carbon history.
This workshop is offered to you in connection with the exhibition "Flying Mercury" by the Luxembourg artist Tina Gillen, an artist who works on motifs related to the environment, contemporary landscapes, a world turned upside down and the impact of mankind on this world in the Anthropocene era.
For the smooth running of the workshop, please bring :
- a pocket knife or pruning shears
- an outfit adapted to the weather and to outdoor work
- you can bring your own tin cans such as tea or cake tins (optional)
- Please bring a snack
If you do not have this equipment, we are happy to organise it for you.
