Meeting for art students and young artists with the Luxembourg artist Tina Gillen who represented Luxembourg at the 59th Venice Biennale with her project Faraway So Close.
On the occasion of the exhibition Flying Mercury, which is dedicated to her, the Konschthal invites art students and young artists to a meeting with Tina Gillen for a discussion and an exchange around her work, her pictorial practice and the challenges of painting today.
The artist invites participants to explore their personal mythologies related to the everyday life after sought inspiration from artists in relation to their work.
This Masterclass aims to inspire young artists to connect with their passion and personalize their work in the age of new media and fast-paced entertainment. Painting today also plays a role as a medium that slows down the thought process.
This Masterclass is held in collaboration with art schools in the Greater Region and is also open to students from other art schools and young artists.
