ARTEFACTS BY THE COMPAGNIE LA SPIRALE
An interactive theatre game inspired by the Kufa!
Artefacts, by Cie La Spirale, is an immersive, participatory theatrical experience in a new format called ‘ready-to-play theatre’. The company is offering a 30-minute role-play for four players, telling a documented, dystopian story of the Kulturfabrik. This is your chance to discover the story as you play it out, with ‘sound holograms’ whispering in your ear what to do or say. Come and take part in this unique immersive experience!
- When: Every Sunday in October between 2pm and 6pm.
- How to get there: participation is free but you need to reserve a slot at inscriptions@kulturfabrik.lu
THE FRANCS LIMIERS
Treasure hunt
82 is the average lifespan in Luxembourg. So 41 is just in time for a good existential crisis! Inspired by the films of Miyazaki, particularly his Le Château Ambulant, Les Francs Limiers have devised a fun trail through the Kulturfabrik to help us get through this mid-life crisis. Overcome challenges and answer riddles to help us get through this important time!
- When: every Sunday in October between 2pm and 6pm, free admission
- For access on days other than Sunday: make an appointment by email to marie@kulturfabrik.lu
· INSTALLATIONS & SCÉNOGRAPHIE ·
SCENOGRAPHY BY MARC THEIN
Scenographer and lighting designer Marc Thein has used light in his scenography to offer a new perspective on the Kulturfabrik. If you come during our anniversary month, admire the result in our courtyard with the play of lights and mirror reflections imagined by Marc! You can interact with the different stations of the scenography and discover the Kufa in a new light at different times of the day.
Happy exploring!
- When: visible from 04.10 to 02.11 in the Courtyard of the Kufa
CULTURE FABRIQUE - INSTALLATION BY LA BANDE PASSANTE
La Bande Passante is a documentary object theatre company based in Metz, whose artistic project aims to reinvent the notion of documentary creation. The artists at La Bande Passante draw their inspiration from the real world, in particular archives and objects seen as documents that enable us to meet others and tell stories. Each work is a finely woven combination of materials and disciplines, rethought to suit each story and each encounter. To mark the cultural centre's anniversary, La Bande Passante is teaming up with the Kulturfabrik to celebrate the years and people who have shaped the place in the form of a collaborative installation based on its unearthed archives!
With Judith Chomel, Benoît Faivre and Tommy Laszlo.
- The installation will be on view throughout October during Kufa opening hours.
- You can help the artists to create this installation. CINÉ KRAFTÉ
Accompanied by paper artist Sarah Poulain (Super Papier) and video artist Guillaume Leprévost (Terry's Factory), 27 children took an active part in making a film about the history of the Kulturfabrik! Creating the set and props, acting, sound design, sound effects and music, etc...
The Krafté workshops are inspired by ‘film suédé’, a term coined by director Michel Gondry to describe the creation of a film using whatever means are at hand. Suede film is a way of thinking about how to recreate the codes of a genre film with limited means and salvaged materials.
- Public viewing : 10.10 at 3pm at Kinosch
- The film can also be viewed at the Galerie Terres Rouges during Kulturfabrik opening hours throughout the anniversary month
