The Spirit of Europe: European Information Centre
The small, picturesque winegrowing village of Schengen in the Three Country Corner became world-famous over 30 years ago as a positive symbol of open borders in Europe. At the European Museum in Schengen, you can gain an insight into the Schengen Agreement. Visitors also learn a great deal about the history of Europe. Stroll across the Place des Étoiles (Stars Square) where you’ll find the Columns of the Nations and an original piece of the Berlin Wall. Walk along the riverside promenade where the boats are moored, and take a look at the three steel monuments on the Place de l’Accord de Schengen. With the family and group programme "Schengen am Klengen", the borderless Europe is now also accessible to the little ones in a playful way.
