Support Act: Chloe Foy
(EN) Singer-songwriter and guitarist Jesca Hoop, who grew up in California, owes her career kick-off to her time as a nanny at Tom Waits' home in the early 2000s. He liked Hoop's fancy indie folk pop songs, which make her one of the so-called "New Weird Americans" (like a certain Joanna Newsom). Today she can already look back on five albums - including the 2017 highly acclaimed "Memories are Now". After intensive recording sessions with John Parish, who is known for his collaboration with PJ Harvey among others, Jesca Hoop presents her new album "Stonechild" at Brandbau, which was only released this summer. Support Act of the evening is Chloe Foy: With her strikingly beautiful voice and emotionally direct songwriting, Chloe has captured the attention of rapidly growing UK and US audiences. With the release of her singles ‘Asylum’, ‘Flaws’, ‘Oh You Are Not Well’ and ‘In The Middle Of The Night’, she has accumulated over 10 million plays on Spotify. 2018 saw her touring in support of the mercurially talented Jesca Hoop (as well as singing backing vocals in Jesca’s band). She has just completed a successful headline UK tour.
