JEAN WEYRICH, PHOTOGRAPHER (1930-2004)
For decades, photographer Jean Weyrich made the most of his precious talent to serve the Luxembourg press by accurately documenting the various aspects of socio-cultural life and the many political events.
In order to honour this work of major importance, the Photothèque pays tribute to the photographer Jean Weyrich with an exhibition of his work. A careful selection of about a hundred photographs, taken from the 146,000 images constituting the entire Weyrich archive and covering the period from 1961 to 1997, are displayed in the Ratskeller (rue du Curé, L-1368).
Relating to the exhibition, a monograph dedicated to Jean Weyrich has also been published, as an addition to the existing series of books entitled “The Treasures of the Photothèque”.
Opening times: from 13 July to 15 September 2019
