The number of supermarkets in Luxembourg has more than doubled over the past 20 years, making the Grand Duchy one of the most densely equipped countries in Europe. So you will have no problem finding supermarkets and grocery stores of every size and kind no matter where you are. And because Luxembourg’s population is so multicultural, you’ll find an exceptionally large choice of products.
The national supermarket chain is called Cactus and was opened in 1967, but is of course not the only brand you’ll find. There are a lot of others, mainly Belgian, French and German.
Enjoy free access to more than 60 museums and tourist attractions in Luxembourg.
