Biking in Luxembourg

Luxembourg offers a broad range of cycling routes and biking tracks. Over 600 km of those routes are already accessible, but there will be yet another 300 km to discover in the next few years. The larger part of those cycle tours passes on byroads with little traffic, often old railway trails. All have been asphalted and are therefore navigable with e-bikes too. A lot of establishments in Luxemburg propose the rental of bikes. Discover also topical bike tours across vineyards, Roman ruins or panoramas.

Luxembourg disposes of a specific network of mountain bike tracks with a total length of more than 700 km. Those dirt roads and trails vary in difficulty from easy to very hard. Taking the mountainbiker through woods and forests, the mountainbike routes have a specific signalisation that separates them from classical cycling bike tours. Several establishments rent mountain bikes per day or per week. Mountain biking - definitely an exciting way to discover Luxembourg far away from common paths.

Where to hire a bike in Luxembourg?

Numerous campsites, hotels and shops offer bike rentals. Located at the edge of cycling trails, you can hire bikes or mountain-bikes by the day, half day or for numerous days in succession – either by individual or by group – which provides an easy return policy. Outside of these private institutions, Luxembourg has also biking parks: Rent a bike at the Moselle, Mullerthal and the Ardennes region. The basics here are as simple as can be: rent the bike at your point of departure and return it to the next station.
