About the tour

Guided tour of Clervaux: an open-air art gallery

The town of Clervaux is remarkable for its artistic flair. The most well-known sights there include the Abbey, the Loreto Chapel, the deanery church and the castle. But one unusual feature of this little place in the Éislek region is the number of exhibition spaces for contemporary photography that can be found in many of the town’s public spaces. Such installations literally turn Clervaux into an open-air art gallery. Sometimes called the “city of the image”, it also hosts various independent projects, workshops and conferences to do with the medium of photography. See it all for yourself on a tour of a town where art, a breath of history, and picturesque unspoilt scenery combine to create a total artwork.
