The personal data we gather in the app

All data gathering and storage is carried out for technical reasons, contractual requirements or explicit user requests.

In the App, we use Firebase, a framework provided by Google Ireland Limited (privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy), through which we track and manage the following real-time features in the App:

  • Tracking user behaviour via Google Analytics for Firebase.
  • Tracking of App crashes and their causes via Firebase Crashlytics.

Firebase Analytics enables the analysis of the use of our offer. For this purpose, we have integrated a SDK ("Software Develope Kit") with which information about the use of our app is collected and transmitted to Google via the IDFA/AAID and stored there. Google will use the aforementioned information to anonymously evaluate the use of our app and to provide us with further services related to the use of apps. Firebase Crash Reporting serves the stability and improvement of the app. This involves collecting information about the device used and the use of our app (e.g. the timestamp, when the app was started and when the crash occurred), which enables us to diagnose and solve problems. We use the information processed by Google to evaluate the use of the app in order to facilitate the optimisation and further development of the app. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the demand-oriented design and optimisation of our offer.

Facebook SDK

The Facebook SDK ("Software Developer Kit") of Facebook Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php) is integrated in this app. When users visit our app, the SDK establishes a direct connection between your mobile device and the Facebook server and transmits pseudonymised data, such as IDFA/AAID, the app ID, and the information that the app has been launched, to Facebook. The Facebook SDK collects the following data:

  • App Events: this includes generic app events (e.g. app installs, app launches) and other standard logging for product metrics (e.g. SDK loading, SDK performance).
  • Configuration data: After a user logs in, the SDK periodically performs queries in the background to automatically manage the lifetime of the access key.
  • Error information: The SDK collects error information, including during the initialisation of the SDK. This information may include the user ID of people logged into Facebook.
  • Short-term data: The SDK measures certain user activity to detect fraud and abuse. This data is only stored for a short period of time for individuals who are not logged into Facebook.

The processing is based on our legitimate interest in analysing and optimising the advertising success of mobile app advertising campaigns placed via Facebook, for example by not displaying advertisements for the corresponding app on such end devices on which it is already installed.

In addition, if not deactivated, the current location is collected for the communication of recommendations in the vicinity of the location, but not stored. You must explicitly consent to the collection of your location by activating the location function. You can deactivate the permitted access to the location data in the settings of the app and in the device at any time.

Push Notifications

If you want to receive push messages with tips and information even when you are not in the app, we need your consent. The app only uses the push notifications if you have explicitly agreed to them (by activating this function). You can deactivate this at any time in the device settings.
