The Minett region, which was once largely dominated by mining and quarrying in places such as Schifflange, Rumelange or Dudelange, has since been reclaimed by nature. This impressive spectacle is a touching testament to the men and women of yesterday, their work, their lives and their history—our history. The trail crosses extraordinary landscapes, abundant forests and numerous historical, such as the Fond-de-Gras Industrial and Railroad Park near Differdange and Pétange, the National Mining Museum in Rumelange, the Cockerill Mine Museum in the Ellergronn Nature Reserve and finally the Welcome Centre of the Nature and Forest Administration.
