At the beginning of this hike you will pass the replica of an old court cross of 1809, where a water fountain shows the following saying about Medernach: "Who once drank water in Medernach, will never go away". Along the Villa Arend-Fixmer, which once belonged to a steel baron and today is a Catholic meeting place, you will reach the border of Larochette on a gentle rising slope. Before going down to Larochette, you will have some beautiful viewpoints. On the other side of the road, the path leads along the White Ernz with its clear water back to Medernach. Along the way, you will pass two former mills, the Follmillen and the Uelegsmillen.
