Cycle tour "Jardins à suivre"
Start: Trainstation Troisvierges
Take the magnificent garden trail to embark on a unique journey of discovery: a signposted cycle route right at the heart of the Our park, which takes you through a fine series of artist-designed gardens and also encompasses a wide range of beautiful and striking natural landscapes.
At the heart of this breathtaking setting, the Our and Clerve rivers have carved narrow valleys into the rock that forms part of the vast expanse of the park plateau. This natural conservation area creates a specific ecosystem for rare plants and birds.
The garden trail-themed route starts at the Gare de Troisvierges railway station, and finishes 30 kilometres later at the railway station in Clervaux, a typically charming Éislek town overlooked by its château and Benedictine abbey.
You’ll find the ride through the Our nature park pretty easygoing, but a couple of more demanding climbs ensures that it isn’t only the views that are breathtaking! To give you a brief background into how this unique park came into being: in 2007, the Our and Haute-Sûre nature parks held the 4th international festival for temporary gardens (in partnership with the nature parks of France and Belgium) as part of the programme for Greater Luxembourg 2007, European capital of culture. On this occasion, landscape architects and visual artists from all around the world created 32 gardens (14 specially for Luxembourg) around the theme Migrating plants.
